KP24 Medicated Foam and Lotion contain the active ingredient Maldison. Maldison has a low toxicity for humans and high toxicity for insects making it ideal for treating head lice. Maldison works by attacking the nervous system of the head lice, which acts to shut down all their internal organs, effectively killing them. Unlike some competitors, KP24 only needs to be applied twice at 7 day intervals, when used in accordance with the directions. This is due to the fact that maldison has double action that directly attacks both head lice and their eggs.
